Sinopharm vaccine roll-out begins July 13

The roll-out of the Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine will begin tomorrow.

To this end, the Immunisation Unit has reopened the vaccine appointment website for people 18 years old and over who would like to book their first dose of the vaccine.

The roll-out will run until Sunday in the first instance.

Sinopharm is administered in two doses, separated by four weeks, and can be given to individuals who have already contracted COVID-19, as well as to pregnant women and people who are immuno-compromised.

Government recently received 30 000 doses of Sinopharm from the People’s Republic of China. (BGIS)
