Barbados Water Authority (BWA) crews are continuing work to lay 650 metres of new main at Cattlewash, St Joseph.

“Progress has been steady and the work to install a new ten-inch main to replace the ruptured pipe is now 50 per cent complete,” according to a statement from BWA.

The statement said that “once the new main is installed, it will have to be pressure tested and sanitised before service can be restored to residents”.

The tanker service will continue to assist residents in the affected districts until work is complete. (PR)
