Call to tell public about safe zones

More public consultations on the safe zones are necessary, says social activist Winston Clarke.

He made that point yesterday as he and several members of the Steering Committee walked through Bridgetown and spoke out against the controversial zones and the vaccination of children against novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

At the Chamberlain Bridge, Clarke unapologetically referred to the mass vaccination efforts as “medical apartheid”, and said he was not surprised that Government’s safe zone roll-out was pushed back.

“The safe zones are a form of discrimination. It is medical apartheid. People might be aggressive with me for using that word, but it is. When you drag people apart due to an ideology, it is apartheid, and I do not believe it will work. You see, they had to go back to the drawing board. (TG)
