Shane Brathwaite produced a gutsy performance to advance to the final of the men’s 110 metres hurdles at the World Athletics Championships on Sunday.

The Barbadian equaled his personal best with a time of 13.21 seconds to finish third in his heat.

Jamaica’s Olympic champion Hansle Parchment won in 13.02 seconds while American Devon Allen was second. (13.09).

It’s Brathwaite’s third consecutive World Athletics Championships final after he was sixth in both London 2017 and Doha 2019.

The final is scheduled for 10:30pm Barbados time and he will run out of lane one.

The world’s top three – Parchment, Allen and 2019 world champion Grant Holloway of the United States, will run out of lanes five, three and four, respectively.  (AGB)
