Natasha Jones joined the professional ranks in body fitness competition after delivering the biggest win of her career on the opening day of the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) bodybuilding and fitness championships at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre Friday night.

Jones, who was third at the recent national championships, came in her best form and stunningly defeated Miss Barbados Dionne Thompson, twice on the night.

The information technology coordinator at Ellerton Primary School, beat Thompson in the Senior Women’s Body Fitness class for entrants up to 163 centimetres in height, and tasted victory once more in the overall posedown for the Elite Pro card.

Thompson qualified for the overall posedown by capturing the division for competitors over 163 centimetres in height. The only other entrant in this class was the muscular 41-year-old Jamaican Ashane Gordon-Morrison, who hails from Old Harbour, St Catherine. (MK)
