One man is dead and another injured following a shooting on earlier today at Silver Sands, Christ Church.
The shooting occurred around 5:47 p.m. near the junction of Silver Sands Road and McClean Gap, close to a local shopping complex.
The deceased and several others were gathered at the junction when a vehicle drove up and multiple gunshots were fired. The men scattered, but one was found lifeless on the ground, and another was injured and taken for medical assistance in a private vehicle.
This incident marks the 20th murder of the year.
Investigations are ongoing.
