The Michaelmas School Term (Term I) comes to an end this week, as public schools across Barbados close for the Christmas holidays.
The last day of school for students will be this Thursday, December 12, while teachers will proceed on vacation on Friday, December 13. The break will last for three weeks.
The Hilary Term (Term II) will begin on Monday, January 6, 2025, for teachers and for students, on Tuesday, January 7.
During the second term, a two-day mid-term break is scheduled for Thursday, February 20 and Friday, February 21.
The 13-week term will be marked by several sporting activities and events at educational institutions across the island. The term ends for students on Thursday, April 3 and for teachers on Friday, April 4.
