Missing: 13-year-old Mya Oneale

Thirteen-year-old Mya Oneale of 8th Avenue, New Orleans, St. Michael, who was reported missing on Thursday, February 5, 2026, has been traced and is safe.

The Barbados Police Service confirmed that the teenager has been located and is no longer listed as missing.

Police have thanked members of the public and the media for their assistance in the matter and expressed appreciation for the continued cooperation shown in helping to resolve such cases.

Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 13-year-old Mya Oneale of 8th Avenue, New Orleans, St Michael, who has been reported missing.

Mya, a student of Saanma International, was last seen on Thursday, January 4, 2026, around 8:30 a.m.

She is described as being approximately five feet nine inches tall, of dark complexion and slim build. She wears her hair in long knotless braids reaching the centre of her back and has dark facial spots which she typically covers with powder. Police say she has a pleasant manner but can become loud if angry.

At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a white polo shirt, blue long pants and off-white socks. She was carrying a bright pink Sprayground school haversack and wears glasses.

Mya is known to frequent 6th Avenue, New Orleans, St Michael, and the Ellerton area in St George.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact the Central Police Station at 430-7676, Police Emergency at 211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIPS (8477), or the nearest police station.
