THE LEGENDARY Sir Garfield Sobers was a special guest on Voice Of Barbados’ Mason & Guest programme last night.
And Barbados’ only living National Hero received glowing tributes from a host of outstanding personalities.
Among those lavishing praise on Sir Garry while going down memory lane were former Prime Minister Owen Arthur, St Vincent and the Grenadines Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves, historian Trevor Marshall, former teammates Clive Lloyd and Jackie Hendriks, and entertainers Mighty Gabby, Mighty Sparrow and Emile Straker. Member of Parliament Ralph Thorne introduced Sir Garry on the programme.
