The same really can’t be said of Warriors though.
Ricardo “Aru” Toussaint had a career-best 25 points, including 13 of a huge 19-4 fourth-quarter run, as the unbeaten Hilton Barbados Warriors slammed Orange 3 Pinelands 70-58 in Tuesday’s Co-operators General Insurance Premier League basketball action at the Wildey Gym.
It was the second loss in four games for the double-crown champs, who are barely hovering above “.500” with a 3-2 record while already matching their loss total from a year ago.
Yet the score didn’t quite tell the whole story considering the Pine – missing MVP Jeremy Gill and national forward Junior Moore – rallied from down 12 in the second quarter (37-25) to take an unlikely 54-51 lead with seven minutes left. (JM)
