MOUNTING SAFETY CONCERNS have forced the National Sports Council to put strict guidelines in place for the next three days of school sports.
Following a meeting last Friday with the various stakeholders and engineers, it was decided that no more than 600 people will be allowed in each stand.
This means that fewer students will be in the stands to support their schools, and that fewer members of the public will be accommodated in the two stands normally allocated to them for the finals of the Barbados Secondary Schools Athletic Championships (BSSAC) and the National Primary Schools Athletic Championships (NAPSAC).
