WELL, AT LEAST they’re consistent; if nothing else.
The losses just keep piling up for Pan American Life Insurance Warrens, as the preseason title contenders remained winless in basketball’s Co-operators General Insurance Premier League following Tuesday’s disheartening 68-58 defeat to Orange 3 Pinelands at the Wildey Gym.
Including their knockout loss against Warriors, that’s now four straight defeats for a shockingly clueless Warrens side who had a similar 0-3 start to the league last season.
But that wasn’t supposed to be the tale of this year’s story, not after the club had high hopes of contending following the offseason acquisition of former Lakers Mark Bridgeman, Adrian Allman and Jamar King.
And Warrens even brought up veteran guard Peter Alleyne from First Division for this contest, figuring to offset Pearson Griffith’s suspension while improving the team’s rather unsteady playmaking.
