THE GARRISON SAVANNAH will be the place to be tomorrow, Emancipation Day, when the Massy United Insurance Barbados Derby is set to run off.

The recent inclement weather is certain to add to the intrigue of this year’s Derby, which is a very wide-open affair.

Mr Arjay’s Seventeenmillionus, trained by Akeem Walcott, will be the favourite for the 2 000 metres race, which has a purse of $10 350. Walcott is among seven trainers vying to win their first Derby. (LY)
