IT WAS THE SPORTS DAY of sports days yesterday.
The month of January ended on a high for the island’s aspiring track and field stars, when almost a dozen primary schools held their annual inter-house track and field championships across Barbados.
From St Lucy Primary and Selah Primary in the north, and Westbury Primary and Hindsbury Primary in the urban corridor, to Reynold Weekes Primary and St Christopher’s Primary in the south, more than 1 000 little stars in the making had their day in the sun.
It was the perfect sign that this year’s NAPSAC should be another athletics extravaganza.
