The Nigerian students have begun their educational journey in Barbados at last with an orientation session.

Eighty-seven students from the Nigerian Delta Empowerment Programme attended a cultural orientation and team-building programme facilitated by Paradigm Consultants & Associates yesterday at the 3Ws Oval at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill. The session will continue for four more days.

In opening remarks, Donna St Hill, executive director of Donna St Hill International, brought greetings from the governor of Nigeria’s Delta State, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan, and deputy governor Professor Amos Utuama.

She asked the students to take advantage of the sound educational and cultural experiences over the next nine months and to use the knowledge gained to benefit and develop their country. (PR/MB)
