A DATE HAS been set for the two teachers’ unions to meet.

In what is to be the first collaboration since the Louis Lynch saga, the executives of the Barbados Union of Teachers (BUT) and the Barbados Secondary Teachers’ Union (BSTU) will meet tomorrow at the BSTU’s Belleville, St Michael headquarters at 3:30 p.m.

Given the support shown by BSTU president Mary Redman following what was deemed a “covert” threat by Minister of Education Ronald Jones in relation to the general meeting called by the BUT last Tuesday, BUT president Pedro Shepherd told the SUNDAY SUN he was “excitingly” looking forward to meeting with the BSTU.

Please read the full story in today’s Sunday Sun, or in the eNATION edition.
