A senior member of Cabinet says Sagicor’s plan to move its headquarters from Barbados intensifies the need for the administration to get the country back to investment grade.

In the only major comment so far on the Sagicor move by a member of the Freundel Stuart administration, Minister of Commerce and International Business Donville Inniss told the SATURDAY SUN yesterday that Sagicor’s decision to relocate was really a private company matter.

And while it was not something Government could “meddle in”, he stressed: “What we have to do as a Government is to continue to redouble our efforts to make sure that we get back to investment grade level.
