Library’s mobile unit to start visits next week

THE NATIONAL LIBRARY Service’s Schools’ Mobile Service Unit will visit a number of primary schools during the Hilary term in an effort to raise literacy awareness and inform the community about reading.

Starting the second week of school on Monday, January 12, at 9:15 a.m., the mobile unit’s first stop will be at St Bartholomew’s Primary. It will then head to Vauxhall Primary for 1 p.m.

The following day, Tuesday, January 13, the mobile unit will visit St Lucy Primary at 9:15 a.m., Selah Primary at 10:45 a.m., and Ignatius Byer Primary at 1 p.m.

On Wednesday, January 14, it will be the turn of All Saints’ Primary and Boscobel Primary, at 9:15 a.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.

Chalky Mount Primary and A. DaCosta Edwards Primary will be visited on Thursday, January 15, at 9:15 a.m. and 1 p.m., respectively. 

The mobile unit will complete its visits for the week on Friday, January 16, at St Silas Primary at 9:15 a.m. and Gordon Greenidge Primary at 1 p.m.

Parents whose children attend these schools should remind their children to return borrowed books to the mobile units.
