Robbery-accused remanded

THREE MEN who appeared in court today charged with robbery were all remanded to HMP Dodds.

Jamel Michael Welch, 29, of Kings Street, Baxters Road, St Michael; Jabarri Shaquille Eversley, 19, of 8th Avenue New Orleans, St Michael and 18-year-old Shaquille Duante Va-Dahal Stoute of Lightfoot Lane in The City were jointly charged with two counts of robbery.

They are charged with robbing Stephen Russell of $103 on December 14 and robbing Rogan Moore and Patricia Moore of articles and cash totaling $1705 on that same day. They return to court on January 14.

Some family members outside the court were seen in tears.

The Royal Barbados Police Force had released a surveillance video requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the three men who were seen walking outside a building.

Welch, Eversley and Stoute were later identified, arrested and charged. (SAT)
