Attorney at law David Comissiong has filed a lawsuit on behalf of ten people, seeking unspecified damages in the Arch Cot apartment building collapse more than seven years ago.

The tragedy at Shalom Apartment Complex at Brittons Hill, St Michael, claimed the lives of husband and wife, Donavere and Cassandra Codrington, and their three young children.

Four defendants were named – the Attorney General, Lemuel Rawlins, who built the apartment complex; Mahy Ridley Hazzard Engineers Ltd, the engineering company which was contracted to oversee the construction work on a neighbouring lot at Chelston, Culloden Road; and Dr Jerry Emtage, the owner of the Chelston lot.
