COMBERMERE are moving up and on to newer heights, with another piece of silverware.

The Nicholls Baking-sponsored school team duly won the Barbados Cricket Association’s (BCA) Intermediate title when the four-day final with the Barbados Fire Service (BFS) ended in a dull draw at the St Catherine Club ground, Bayfield, St Philip.

Resuming from 298 for six, already ahead by 141 runs replying to BFS’ modest first innings total of 157, Combermere put on another mighty display before they were finally dismissed for 421 in 155.5 overs.

Batting a second time, BFS blazed to 83 for three off 10.3 overs when the match ended at 5:16 p.m.
