A century for Carmen Bishop

BARBADIAN Carmen Edna Bishop is marking a major milestone today.

Bishop, of Westmoreland, St James, became the latest member of the centenarian club.

She celebrated the big day with family and friends, some of whom came from the United States and Canada.

Governor General Sir Elliott Belgrave also paid her a visit.

Bishop is a former maid who worked at several hotels along the west coast. She is also a member of the Salvation Army. (RL)
