The Barbados School Tour – Inspiring a New Generation is the name of an initiative to reach out to a new generation of motor sport fans and give back something to the community in which it operates.

It is the brainchild of Bushy Park Barbados and the organisers of next weekend’s annual Race of Champions, and world record stunt driver, England’s Terry Grant.

The tour involves Grant visiting a number of schools in Barbados, where he interacts with students who are interested in the world of motor sport has to offer.

And executive chairman of Bushy Park Circuit Inc (BPCI) Mark Maloney believes the upcoming Race of Champions, at which Grant will be a featured driver, is bringing to the island some of the world’s most accomplished motor sport champions.

According to Maloney, the school tour inspiration initiative will present a fantastic opportunity to educate and inspire youngsters across the island, by giving them the chance to see Grant in action – only where there’s space for him to do it safely – and to learn from him how important dedication, hard work and commitment are to success not just in motor sport, but in life as well.
