AN ATTEMPT TO bring a story to life seemed to have gone awfully wrong, and an investigation is under way to determine why a coffin ended up at a St Michael primary school.

Reports reaching the WEEKEND NATION indicated that the school was studying the book The Death Of Big Foot, and a senior member of staff allegedly brought a coffin into the science room on Wednesday as a visual.

According to reliable sources, a female member of staff and some of the students were “traumatised” on seeing the life-sized coffin on the desk.

It is understood that the teacher has sought legal advice, and that the matter is engaging the attention of the Ministry of Education.

A WEEKEND NATION team visited the school yesterday and when asked about the incident the principal said, “We have no interest with you.” (YB)
