Show your love at NATION Funathlon

THE 2014 NATION FUNATHLON COMES OFF TODAY.

Due to the inclement weather over the last couple days, registration has been set up in Independence Square from noon today and T-shirts are still available for participants.

Persons not running or walking can also purchase the commemorative T-shirt on site and join in pre-walk activities.

The event’s activities kick off at 2:15 p.m. with a mini-concert featuring  Mikey, Adaeze, Benjaminz and young Phierry Jones.

Runners leave Independence Square at 3: 15 p.m. with the walkers following at 3:30 p.m.

Entertainer and Goodwill Ambassador for the International Federation of Business & Profession Women, Alison Hinds, will lead the pledge to support the call to end all forms of violence.

Persons are reminded to bring a flower and take part in the first symbolic Flower Drop.

Flowers will be dropped into the ocean in memory of past of current victims of violence and to symbolise letting go of violence.

Parking will be provided at the BTI car park.

Barbadians are asked to come out and show their support the movement to SHOW YOUR LOVE, STOP THE VIOLENCE. (PR)
