Tea update – Barbados Pride vs T&T Red Force

BARBADOS PRIDE captain Kraigg Brathwaite is eying a century on the opening day of the inaugural West Indies Cricket Board’s Professional Cricket League.

At tea on the first day of their four-day match against Trinidad and Tobago Red Force, Barbados Pride progressed to 153 for four at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port-of-Spain.

Opener Brathwaite went to the day’s second interval unbeaten on 79 in the company of Shane Dowrich, who is not out on 30.

Brathwaite and Dowrich have added an unbroken 68 for the fifth wicket. It followed a fourth wicket stand of 45 between Brathwaite and Roston Chase, who made 24.

In the first session, Barbados Pride lost Omar Phillips (9), Dwayne Smith 10) and Jonathan Carter (0.) All three were removed by fast bowler Marlon Richards with the help of catches to wicket-keeper Denesh Ramdin. (HG)
