$3.50 For All

Date:

Share post:

Schoolchildren will likely have to pay the increased $3.50 bus fare to travel on public service vehicles come Tuesday. This was confirmed yesterday by the Alliance Owners of Public Transport (AOPT), though the Association of Public Transport Operators (APTO) was non-committal.

However, both organisations indicated they had nothing to do with any protest action being planned for outside Parliament tomorrow when the new fares come into force.

“No decision was taken by the Alliance Owners of Public Transport to encourage any PSV worker to alter the new hike in bus fares to accommodate schoolchildren,” said Mark Haynes, AOPT’s public relations officer. (SP)
