Changes appear to be on the cards at the Rural Development Commission (RDC).

Reports reaching THE NATION indicated that RDC director Gregory Hinds was relieved of his post on Wednesday.

It is understood that the changes at the state-owned entity started from last Friday, when an accounts clerk, a human resources officer and a senior accounting officer were laid off.

According to a source, ten people are expected to be retrenched.

When contacted on Wednesday, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Housing, Tim Maynard, said he was unable to confirm whether Hinds had been removed from the top post.

Hinds joined the RDC last year, leaving a senior management position in the private sector with Bryden/Stokes.

Maynard referred THE NATION to RDC chairman Roger Hutson, but he could not be reached up to press time. (BA)
