Barbados Tridents are chasing 148 runs to beat the Jamaica Tallawahs as the Caribbean Premier League T20 Cricket tournament continues at Sabina Park.
The Tallawahs were on 114 for one at one stage and seemed on course to score in excess of 160 runs, before some very incisive bowling by the Tridents limited them to 147 for eight.
Owais Shah (42), captain Chris Gayle (39) and Chadwick Walton (25) set the table at the top of the order, but the last seven wickets fell for 37 runs.
Ravi Rampaul took four for 18 for Tridents and Rayad Emrit three for 35, missing his four-for when the last ball fell just out of reach.
Summarised scores: Jamaica Tallawahs 147-8 (O. Shah 42, C. Gayle 39, C. Walton 25; R. Rampaul 4-18, R. Emrit 3-35) vs Barbados Tridents. (SAT)
