YESTERDAY BELONGED to the mothers.
Mother’s Day saw mums across the island being honoured in a variety of ways, but they were all a means to one end: first-class treatment of that special lady.
Many mothers started the day with church. Over 300 of them at the Church of the Nazarene in Collymore Rock, St Michael, were showered with gifts and tokens during an appreciation service put on by the children and men of the church.
Pastor Phillip Kellman, preaching on the topic Being God’s Role Model For The Next Generation, encouraged and challenged mothers to grasp the opportunity to be the first role model in their children’s lives.
