Priest: Stand against evil

Keeping silent in the face of evil was committing evil itself, an Anglican priest said yesterday.
The rector of the St Paul’s Church, Canon Wayne Isaacs, was speaking during a service which marked the start of the 11th Vaccination Week in the Americas.
Local Kiwanis Clubs were also present for their quarterly corporate worship.
Referring to the Book Of Revelations in The Bible, Isaacs said it was not a book of prophecy but a guide for mankind, giving instructions for Christians to stand firm against evil and to persevere.
“It was written at a time when Christians were being persecuted for their faith and so the writer, John, wrote to the Christians to give them encouragement to stand firm and not give in,” he said. (CA)
