FLYING FISH & COU COU: The low-down on dirty business

Constituents in a certain district are questioning why their parliamentary representative should swiftly turn up at a police station following a call from a certain family, but hardly responds quickly to their concerns.
They are saying that this representative should be aware that the person who called him is saying in the neighbourhood that she has “big-up” friends and is therefore not worried about certain pending legal matters.
The constituents are saying such statements, whether truthful or delusional, could have the effect of lowering his status in people’s eyes, so he should make her stop this.
They are also expressing their disappointment about the politician not being seen much since the general election. Some are even saying, “Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. . . There won’t be a third time.”
Special delivery for cop
No crime was committed when a woman turned up at a police station recently and dumped her ex-lover’s personal belongings which were in a see-through garbage bag.
The high-profile police officer who thinks he is a player got played when his ex-girlfriend made the early morning delivery. Apparently, there was also a nasty note attached to the items. It was a very embarrassing moment for this non-gazetted officer who can’t seem to keep away from very young girls.
The event left other officers shaking their heads. Some were saying that he needs to grow up and act his age.
Micro-managing minister
Senior civil servants at a certain ministry are hoping that the appointed minister curbs the tendency to micro-manage.
The word from their colleagues is that the individual tends to get involved in issues that have nothing to do with policy, which is their remit. Instead, they tend to pay too much attention to the day-to-day running of the ministry and the staff.
Those making the claim point to the bassa-bassa involving two maids at the ministry which this person demanded to have a full report on. Up to this day they can’t figure out why the individual wanted this.
The civil servants are hoping that as this individual is in a healthier environment that the tendency to micro-manage will become a thing of the past.
Two factions, one queen
The beehive is buzzing so much these days that not even renown beekeeper Rudy Gibson would be able to handle them.
From what Cou Cou is hearing, there are two factions though still only one queen.
One faction is wondering if the stingers of the queen have been pulled because they feel there is not enough buzz about the myriad of things happening here.
Those affiliated to this concerned group contend that, given their role, they should be stinging left, right and centre. They say this is what the public is looking for them to do, and they need to satisfy these constituents.
The other faction prefers to keep the buzzing to a minimum and bide their time. They argue that the way the situation is unravelling, there will be plenty of buzzing and stinging to do when the time comes. So they are asking their colleagues to be patient.
It will be interesting to see which faction prevails.
