Authorities are appealing again to pedal cyclists not to travel on the pedestrian footbridge in The Pine.
The footbridge was officially opened on February 8 and the Ministry of Transport and Works, in a series of public service announcements, has warned cyclists against riding on it.
However, some cyclists have persisted in ignoring the warning signs which have been installed.
Yesterday, the ministry sent out a further appeal cautioning cyclists against riding on the footbridge for their own safety and the safety of pedestrians using it. At top, a cyclist using the footbridge despite the warnings given and signs posted (at left). (PR)
