The sweet sounds of music could be heard coming from Kensington Oval earlier as all the artistes were doing their sound checks for the Digicel Vintage Reggae Show and Dance.
All systems are a go for tonight and FAS Entertainment has delivered and transformed the 3Ws Stand at Kensington Oval into a fully functionable 3Ws Theatre completed with lights and a dance floor. The show starts at 9 p.m. promptly says FAS with local lad Sir Ruben leading the Bajan charge, followed by Mike Grovesnor and songstress Wendy Alleyne. Then it’s time for the Jamaica legends to hit the stage. Thrilling the crowd  in order are Ernie Smith, Glen Washington, Admiral Tibet and show closure Freddy Mcgreggor.
The second event on the Barbados Reggae Festival calendar has always been a crowd pleaser for the old and young at heart. Based on ticket sales, the show is a sold out event says FAS and patrons will get their money’s worth while they dance the night away. Tomorrow night is time to support a fully loaded lineup of Bajan artistes for the Bajan Reggae Night at the same venue. Sunday is the last event at Farley Hill with Reggae On the Hill boasting Third World, Jah Cure, Buggy and ViZion. (NSH)
