AN INCREASING NUMBER of owners of apartment buildings and private houses are renting rooms for a few hours – which it’s believed some clients use for sexual liaisons.
Advertisements in a newspaper last weekend included two in St Michael and Christ Church at $50 for three hours each, one in Inch Marlow, Christ Church priced at $50 for four hours and featuring satellite television and other amenities, another in Bay Street from $50 and up, and a guest house offering four-hour stays for $60.
Asked why these packages were being offered instead of traditional one-day packages, a proprietor who offers his two rooms for a $50 three-hour stay said his accommodation was “strictly a short order thing”.
He said his Christ Church building was not for parties or weekend getaways. “When you come, it’s wham bam thank you ma’am and you’re outta there,” he told the SUNDAY SUN.
