Police involved shooting leaves one injured

The police report, that on Sunday 17 February about 1:05 pm, the anti-gun & gang unit of the Royal Barbados Police Force conducted an operation at Green Hill, St Michael.

During this operation a 24-year-old male suspect was found in possession of a firearm and was shot in the left leg by police personnel, he was later transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance to receive medical attention.

Another suspect, also 24 years old was taken into custody along with one motor car and a small quantity of cannabis.

Police say their investigations are at a sensitive stage and are therefore withholding the identities of these individuals. (KB/PR)
