SEVERAL?BOXES containing bottles?of dishwashing liquid fell off a truck yesterday morning as it made the left turn from Newton Industrial Park, Newton, Christ Church onto the main road.
But some passers-by did not intend to let the soap go to waste. Two men quickly armed themselves with empty PET bottles and scooped up the liquid, which had spilled onto the road from several damaged bottles.
The distressed truck driver, who called on some employees from the company to assist him with gathering the merchandise, was atpains to point out that he still had to account for every bottle. (MB)
