RAISING THE BAR

Hakeem Clarke exemplified his school’s motto yesterday.
The Lodge School student had a fighting performance at the National Stadium, jumping his way to glory, and keeping the St John school in the hunt for Barbados Secondary Schools Athletic Championships (BSSAC) glory.
The 17-year-old field-event specialist won the Under-20 Boys’ high jump, and was the lone student to clear the bar at two metres.
