Blood low

A?RECENT SPATE of shootings, stabbings and road accidents has placed a strain on the Blood Bank.
And the Queen?Elizabeth Hospital is making an urgent appeal to the public to donate blood to the Unit at the National Blood Collecting Centre, Ladymeade Gardens, Bay Street, St Michael.
Carolyn Williams-Gayle, communication specialist at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, told the SATURDAY SUN:
“Recent vehicular accidents, stabbings and shootings that we hear about regularly in the media have resulted in an increase in the demand for blood products, and consequently have placed a strain on our blood supply, hence our urgent request.”
