Barbadians joined others across the world ringing in the new year last night.
For many, 2013 offers a chance for a new start and fresh opportunities.
Some were in church praising God, while others attended some private house parties.
Some spent the time in quiet reflection, and others joined with friends and family on the Richard Haynes Boardwalk, and beaches to toast the new year and watch the fireworks display.
