FARMERS WERE ADVISED YESTERDAY to stop complaining and look for solutions to their problems.
In a tough-love speech, they were advised to seek solutions to predial larceny instead of running to the media and making their industry look bad.
The advice came from Keeley Holder, herself a farmer of three years and president of the Barbados Society of Technologists in Agriculture.
“I hire security. It is a part of the mechanism I employ and while you do have to guard against the guardians sometimes there is a point where there has to be some kind of trust,” the 32-year-old businesswoman told the weekly luncheon meeting of the Democratic Labour Party at the party’s headquarters at George Street, Belleville, St Michael.
