Fishermen at Oistins are today mourning the loss of one of their own after Calvin Jefferson Cox died at sea today.
Police reported the 74-year-old career fisherman left Barbados’ shores on April 12 on the Andy Andy.
The report stated Cox, of Scarborough, Christ Church, was last seen alive at 8 p.m Friday night and was found dead at around 10:05 a.m today by crew members. He was reportedly suffering from heart problems and diabetes.
A small crowd gathered at the end of the jetty to witness the police force and coast guard investigate the situation and view the body being taken away by a funeral home. (CA)
