Nuisance riders

Our streets are congested, road repairs are in progress and vehicular accidents are a regular feature of the traffic situation, but there is no shortage of thrill-seekers.
Those who would dare to do stunts on the busiest highway with no regard for life or limb, and indeed no concern for other road users, still proliferate public roads despite daily warnings from the Royal Barbados Police Force and Barbados Road Safety Association.
Whether it’s some youngster riding a bicycle on top of the highways’ Jersey barriers, a driver overtaking three and four cars at a time or, as shown here, one of a group of motorcyclists recently performing “wheelies” in Warrens, St Michael, and Welches, St Thomas, such recklessness can only end in injury or, worse, leave grieving families behind.
