Kobia Browne, 33, of St Stephens Hill, St Michael was arrested and charged in relation to the seizure of 80 pounds of cannabis by Customs Personnel at the Bridgetown Port on Thursday.
After investigations were conducted, he was subsequently charged for the offences of possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation.
A release from the police this morning stated that personnel from Customs and Excise searched a shipment of sofas, and the illegal drug was discovered.
Browne is expected to appear at the District A Magistrate Court on Tuesday.
