Is Prime Minister Freundel Stuart hitting the campaign trail this evening in Canada or just meeting the Bajan diaspora there?
Answer: It may be a mix of both.
About three months after addressing hundreds of Barbadians at the annual Barbados Ball in Toronto, the Prime Minister is back to speak to nationals at this evening’s Errol Barrow Memorial Dinner.
“The Prime Minister is in Toronto to speak to members [of the Democratic Labour] Party and to the people of Barbados,” said Reynold Austin, head of the DLP Barbados (Canada), the party’s arm in the North American nation.
“He has been able to engage the diaspora, especially in these times where strong leadership has kept the economic ship of Barbados afloat despite economic failures around the globe,” Austin added.
The function is being sponsored by the DLP branch in Canada and the proceeds will be used to assist charitable causes in Barbados and Canada.
