DUSTY ROADS, EXCESSIVE noise, traffic woes and questions of compensation.
Those were the main issues which were brought to the fore by residents of Bushy Park and the surrounding districts during a town hall meeting on the proposed redevelopment of the Bushy Park Race Track, on Thursday night at the Church of the Nazarene, Bushy Park, St Philip.
Before a panel that included Mark Hamilton, operations manager of Bushy Park Circuit Inc.; managing director of Infrastructural Services Inc, Vincent Alleyne; and planning consultant Yvette Humphrey, residents aired their grievances surrounding the project seven months after it started.
Emerald Holder, who lives in Harrow, which is downwind from the construction site, complained that since work began on the multimillion-dollar facility last September, he had been severely affected by the dust.
