THE Klebsiella pneumoniae bacteria have reappeared at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) – two months after the first outbreak there was made public.
This time patients in three wards are known to be affected by the drug resistant strain of bacteria.
QEH confirmed this yesterday but declined to say how many patients and which wards are involved.
They however assured that everything possible was being done to contain the spread of the bacteria according to international standards, and issued guidelines for people visiting the Martindales Road institution.
