St Lawrence Gap can soon become a 24-hour arts and craft centre.
So says Minister of Tourism Richard Sealy today as he outlined a ten-point plan for Barbados’ tourism industry.
Sealy, speaking to the Press at a news conference this afternoon at Government Headquarters, described the Christ Church strip, which was once bubbling with entertainment and activity, as Barbados entertainment captial.
“It is where visitors expect night life,” he said.
Sealy said Government would soon be working with proprietors in the St Lawrence Gap area to get this initiative going.
In recent times, some business owners and managers have been complaining about declining business in the area.
The minister said they expect to deal with the contentious issue of noise levels in the Gap as they look to make this plan a reality. (CM)
