The?Cave Hill?Campus of the University of the West Indies (UWI) must produce students who can find the balance between being a person of quality and leading a quality life.
Anglican Bishop of Barbados Dr John Holder stressed this point yesterday as he delivered the sermon at an inter-faith thanksgiving service held at St Mary’s Church to mark the campus’ 50th anniversary.
Bishop Holder noted that at the heart of the life of the university’s students was engagement in a process that helped them to come to grips with who they were and what special contribution they could make to this world.
Holder said that as students left the university they asked the question, “Who am I or who have I become after my sojourn at university?” (LK)
