Three-year-old dies in house fire

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad – Police said that a three–year old child died in an early morning fire on Friday at his home in St James, west of here.

Fire services personnel who responded to the incident said that charred remains of Aqualani Alleyne were found in the debris and that the father, who was not identified, was in critical condition after being severely burned while trying to save the child.

The police and the fire prevention officers have since launched an investigation into the incident. (CMC)
